Yakumo Sumeragi is a character in Scarlet Nexus. He was the founding father and leader of New Himuka. He was assassinated by the future Karen Travers.

The nation was actually founded through the cooperation of many people, but he was their leader and is especially regarded as a hero. Common citizens of the present have completely deified him, and pray daily to him with their wishes. Yakumo's grave, the Sumeragi Tomb, has been made into a shrine and tourist attraction.
His great achievements are described in the textbooks used by students in the present day. There is only one record of his appearance, in which he is wearing a mask, so what his face actually looks like isn't known by future generations. His decedents live on as the Sumeragi family, who have been politicians for generations. |
