Scarlet Nexus, stylised as SCARLET NEXUS, is a Japanese anime television series based on the video game of the same name. The series is licensed in North America by Funimation, with the first two episodes premiering on YouTube early on June 18 and June 25 respectively. It began airing on Japanese television on July 1, 2021 to December 23, 2021, with Funimation simulcasting and producing an English simuldub for the series.
Plot[]
Solar calendar year 2020: grotesque organisms called Others have begun eating people. To take down this new enemy, the Other Suppression Force is formed. Saved by this elite team as a child, psychokinetic Yuito withstands the training to enlist. On the other hand, prodigy Kasane was scouted for her abilities. But Kasane's dreams tell her strange things, dragging the two into an unavoidable fate.

Production[]
On March 18, 2021, an anime television series adaptation produced by Sunrise was announced and licensed by Funimation outside of Asia. Medialink licensed the anime in South and Southeast Asia. Hiroyuki Nishimura is directing the series and Yōichi Katō, Toshizo Nemoto and Akiko Inoue are writing the series' scripts, with Nishimura and Yuji Ito designing the characters, and Hironori Anazawa composing the series' music.
Most voice actors from the game reprise their roles, with the exceptions of the English voice actors for Shiden Ritter and Wataru Frazer.
